About me

Hi, I'm Therese!

One of the best things I know how to do is put on a good audio book or podcast and disappear into my own world to design and make jewellery. There is something magical about creating fluid, organic shapes in soft, fragile wax that then turn into beautiful jewellery in solid, shiny metal.

I draw inspiration from everything around me, and mostly from organic, natural forms such as heather and leaves, ice formations and cell networks. But also architecture, paintings, sculptures and other art can give rise to new ideas and designs.

Process and sustainability

I make all the jewellery in my home studio. Some pieces are crafted directly from sheet or wire in silver or brass. Other pieces I shape in wax, which is then cast in solid metal at Edelmetallstøperiet in Fredrikstad before I file, polish, and assemble the pieces.

I am continuously working towards operating as sustainably, environmentally friendly, and ethically as possible by minimising waste, choosing recycled, sustainable and/or ethically sourced materials, and recycling or reusing whatever I can.
